Fans of the show First Take, ESPN’s morning talk show and the equivalence of Good Moring America for sports, will be pleased to find out that the show will do all it can to cover the mega fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.
The show has regularly been a platform for discussions on Mayweather-Pacquiao and although it has rarely discussed boxing as a whole, the co-hosts, Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless, have always made it a point to debate Mayweather and Pacquiao from various angles.
The mega fight figures to garner attention from outlets that don’t typically cover boxing, or sports for that matter, but the added attention will put boxing on the commercial stage for the fight’s lead up.
First Take will be one of those outlets as Skip Bayless announced on his twitter a few days ago that the show will hit the road for Mayweather-Pacquiao.
“First Take will be in Las Vegas building up to Pacquiao-Mayweather on May 2 and will be there for its aftermath. CANNOT WAIT,” [email protected] (Skip Bayless’ twitter handle).
