As most fight fans may already know, pound for pound king pin Floyd Mayweather (45-0 26KO’s) has possibly got himself into some more trouble with the law. According to TMZ, Mayweather allegedly orchestrated a brutal attack on two employees who he suspected of stealing jewelry that belong to him. Both men received broken arms and legs from the beating and where hospitalized for days. According to TMZ, the two men have retained a lawyer.
However, this situation has got boxing fans wondering if Mayweather’s scheduled May 3rd fight with Marcos Maidana is in jeopardy of happening. According to Showtime sports executive Stephen Espinoza, the situation hasn’t yet produced any proof to suggest it’s something more than a rumor on a gossip site. Espinoza doesn’t seem worried about the May 3rd date being in jeopardy and has said that he would hesitate to even call it a story.
