Gabriel Rosado“King” Gabriel Rosado announced recently via social media that he will announce his next fight and a new trainer soon. There are any possible opponents out there for Rosado and he has not given any indication as to who he will face but he did drop a hint as to who will be training him.

“Can’t wait to announce my next fight and my new trainer!! I’ll give you a hint on my new trainer. He’s a Mexican warrior, former world champion, and he never ducked anyone” stated Rosado via Instagram.

There are a few names that come to mind as to who the trainer is but boxing fans suspect the trainer to be either Erik Morales or Fernando Vargas. Morales retired from boxing after his loss to Danny Garcia back and 2012 and has begun training boxers. Vargas retired after losing a majority decision to Ricardo Mayorga back in 2007 and has kept himself busy with a reality TV show and opening his own gym. Vargas has also patched things up with former foe Oscar De La Hoya, and the two have been working together.

Should Morales or Vargas not be the trainer that Rosado was referring to then one other trainer comes to mind, Robert Garcia. Garcia is a former world champion and fought with balls. His father had been a trainer for a long time and did a hell of a job, and the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree. Garcia has built a tremendous stable and has had several world champions develop or come train at his gym, the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy.

Any of the three trainers would be a good fit for Rosado to help him develop as a fighter but who will his return opponent be?

Rosado was originally set to face James Kirkland in December and even had a verbal agreement from Kirkland. Kirkland pulled out of the fight a week later over finances that he would receive for the fight.
