According to ESPN.com, promoter Gary Shaw has officially resigned from Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. The two decided to split only after a month. Shawn explained to ESPN, “We gave it a try and unfortunately it did not work out for both parties. It is an amicable separation. Roc Nation was very professional at our meeting and they allowed me to keep all of my fighters and my company, and terminate any agreements we had together. They gave me back my company.”
The byproduct of this split means Roc Nation Sports will no longer be involved in the heavyweight championship bout between Bryant Jennings and Wladimir Klitschko on April 25th at Madison Square Garden in New York. This separation also signifies Darleys Perez, Tureano Johnson, Jonathan Maicelo, Kenneth Sims Jr., Francisco Santana, Roman Morales, and Daniel Geale will no longer be involved in Roc Nation Sports according to ESPN.
