“Hammerin” Hank Lundy fought once in 2020. In all fairness, not many people were able to get a fight completed during these hard times. Luckily for Lundy, he was able to get a fight in right before everything in the country shut down. Now that things are somewhat better in different parts of the country fighter are coming out of hibernation (so to speak) and have begun to get to work.
Lundy has been training for a ring return and announced via Twitter on January 12th that his return to the ring is set and there will be titles at stake.
Lundy will fight South Africa’s Xolisani Ndongeni for title belts (WBA, IBO). Ndongeni has only fought three times since 2019. He suffered his first career defeat to Devin Haney in 2019 via unanimous decision and then was stopped by a fighter with a record of 11-10-1 last October. Ndongeni picked up a win between those two fights.
The fight will take place on a cruise ship between March 12th-14th.
