Jorge “Niño de Oro” Linares (33-3, 21 KO’s) makes his ring return on August 25th in a ten round bout in Tokyo, Japan against Berman Sanchez (26-5-3, 18 KO’s) of Nicaragua.
After Linares lost to Antonio Demarco and Sergio Thompson via back to back KO’s he has put himself back in the win column beating Hector Velasquez and David Rodela.
Sanchez on the other hand has spent the majority of his career fighting in Costa Rica, where he resides. He has ventured to Mexico for a couple fights and he lost.
Linares is the odds on favorite and should he lose to the lesser fighter his career will be in question for him to continue. For Sanchez, this is his big opportunity to show if he has the goods to be on the world level despite the losses he has faced in his career.
