David LemieuxShould David Lemieux beat Hassan N’Dam this weekend, he lines up possible fights with Miguel Cotto, Gennady Golovkin, Andy Lee, and maybe even Canelo Alvarez down the line.

Not only that, it’s been a dream for the Canadian who many counted out after his knockout loss to Marco Antonio Rubio.

“It’s the biggest opportunity of my life,” Lemieux told ESPN.com’s Brian Campbell. “It means the world to me. This is what I worked all my life for. The most important moment in a boxer’s career is to fight for the world title. I’ve been working extremely hard since the beginning. I’m at my best shape that I have ever been, and I’m ready to take this title and become world champion.”

Lemieux feels there’s depth in the middleweight division, and victory opens doors to many big fights.

“Yes, of course,” stated the Canadian. “Middleweight has always been a very exciting division. Everyone who knows boxing knows that. We have a lot good fighters at middleweight and a lot of good opportunities. First, I have to do what I have to do [on Saturday], and then all the doors are open. I’m willing to fight everybody, so there’s a lot of great to fight. It’s going to be great.”

Lemieux feels he has to make a statement against N’Dam and dominate every round.

“’Seek and Destroy’ is pretty much the philosophy of my fighting style. I don’t go in there just to win on points. I go in there to dominate, and whatever round I can take him out, I will take him out. I’m there to give a great show, and I’m there to give my fighters a lesson to not want to be in the ring with me. Each fight goes on, my strength goes up, and it’s just more pain for them. On [Saturday] it’s going to be another eye-opening fight for fans who think they have seen me. There’s plenty more to see in the upcoming weeks.”
