By the time you are reading this you probably have heard the latest news on Adrien Brower. If not, you may be living under a rock. On April 1st, Broner took on and stopped Ashley Theophane in what has turned into a bit of a grudge match between Floyd Mayweather’s The Money Team (TMT)/Mayweather Promotions and Broner mainly due to comments from Mayweather towards Broner. During the post fight interview, Broner addressed the comments Mayweather made and then proceeded to call out the former pound for pound king.While many (including Mayweather) got a laugh at the thought of the potential match-up, one of Broner’s former opponents wants Broner to forget Mayweather and give him a rematch.
“Before Floyd, how about coming and giving me the rematch you never gave me and you know I deserve, ” stated Paulie Malignaggi via social media. “I’m ready if you are. I ate my cornflakes dry!”
Malignaggi and Broner fought in June of 2013. It was a competitive fight between the two but the most entertaining bits came in the previous fight buildup and the post fight interview which were heated and involved side chicks.
Should the two square off for a second time the fight may not be as competitive but the trash talk and build up would more than likely surpass the first.
