Two of the biggest names in Mexican women’s boxing are currently in the process of negotiating a historical showdown. Mariana Juarez (55-10-4, 19 KO’s) and Jackie Nava (37-4-4, 16 KO’s) both are atop the heap of Mexico’s greatest women’s boxers and are must see TV whenever they step in the ring. Boxing fans have wanted to see these two scrap for a long time and negotiations are underway and things look promising.
Juarez last fought in May of 2021 against Alejandra Soto. Juarez beat the breaks off Soto and forced her to retire in her corner. It was Juarez first fight since losing her world title to Yulihan Alejandra Luna Avila last Halloween.
Nava last fought in March of 2020 winning a unanimous decision over Karla Fernandez. Nava is currently riding an undefeated streak dating back to 2011 when she lost her last bout against Ana Maria Torres. Momentum is definitely on her side.
Juarez is already training with hopes that the fight gets finalized.
There is no doubt that the winner of this bout would definitely be crowned the Queen of Mexican boxing.
