Today on the official Twitter account of ESPN’s Spanish boxing show “Golpe To Golpe,” it was announced that Juan Manuel Marquez will be making his return to the ring after his spectacular one punch knockout of former pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao. His opponent  will be Timothy Bradley.

Bradley and Marquez both share a victory over Manny Pacquiao. Though Bradley’s victory over Pacquiao is questionable, he did make it a competitive fight. The backlash that Bradley suffered after the controversial decision breathed new life into him, as seen in his last fight with former Pacquiao sparring partner Ruslan Provodnikov. With Bradley mixing it up more, a fight with Marquez is just what he needs to build himself up and test himself as a fighter.

As for Marquez, though he seemed slower in his muscular form, in his last fight he was very explosive. Pacquiao did land more punches on Marquez in this fight compared to the other three, but Marquez’ heart and work ethic proved that he was the better fighter. After the first knockdown in the fight you could feel that no matter how many punches Marquez took the fight would go the way he wanted, and it sure did. He timed Pacquiao perfectly and loaded up with a beautiful shot to end the fight. He held true to his nickname “Dinamita” and ended the fight in spectacular fashion.

So why not fight each other? Bradley built himself into a more fan friendly fighter and Marquez’ star and talent will shine brighter and brighter.

The fight itself should produce fireworks if both fighters perform the way they did in their last few performances.

As of now the fight is slated for September 14th on HBO which is undoubtedly going to be on Pay Per View.
