Michael Koncz Quickly Shoots Down Rumors Of A Confirmed Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight For September

A fight that has been years in the making between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao seems like a big possibility for 2014.

According to online reports, a source close to the Mayweather camp (which has leaked Mayweather’s previous opponents before the fights were announced) an agreement has been reached for the two fighters to fight this September.

Pacquiao who will have free agent status can take the Mayweather fight which is a huge possibility since Top Rank (whom Mayweather does not want to work with) does not have to be involved.

But as quickly as the reports came out, Pacquiao advisor Michael Koncz shot down the rumors.

“Don’t believe that story unless Manny or I tell you it’s true,” said Koncz. “Manny and I will sit down and seriously talk about what we wanna do and who we wanna fight and then I will relay that to Arum.”
