Nate Campbell is a shell of his former self. In his last few fights he has seemed like one of those fighters that does not know when to hang up the gloves but with his accomplishments as a professional, you have to respect his decision to fight another day. A man has to earn a living.

Campbell fought great competition at lightweight where he was champion but lost his titles due to being unable to make weight for his fight with Ali Funeka. After the Funeka fight, Campbell had to move up to junior welterweight so that he would not have to struggle to make weight. Since the move up he continued facing great competition in losing efforts. Campbell’s best victory at junior welterweight was against Victor Cayo in 2012, who went from promising prospect to gatekeeper.

After an unsuccessful run at 140 pounds, Campbell has decided to move back down to the 135 pound division. One must think can Campbell really make weight? He struggled in his last lightweight fight and had fought at a heavier weight since 2009. Does he still have what it takes to be an elite fighter?

Saturday night Campbell will fight on the undercard of Amir Khan VS. Julio Diaz. We will get to see what Campbell has left in him in a make or break fight. Is he still the “Galaxy Warrior” or is he delusional and will he be knocked out of the galaxy and into Wonderland?
