Saturday night was a tough night for Omar Figueroa Jr. against Abel Ramos. It didn’t start out that way though.
Figueroa had plenty of success in the first few rounds with his awkwardness. At a few points, it seemed he would be able to get rid of Ramos but he had other plans. Ramos was able to get himself together and work the body, fight back and batter Figueroa was able to get the stoppage.
But how did it happen? That’s something Figueroa doesn’t know but what he does know is that he gave it his all and the better man won that night.
“I’m fine,” stated Figueroa via social media. “Face/body/physical me is just bruised. Mental me, that dude has had World War 3638592 going on in his mind since the first bell rang and noticed his legs weren’t underneath him. What happened? IDFK! At the end of the day, my conscience is clean because I know I gave it my ALL! Thank you for all of your support…and don’t worry, tough times don’t last. Tough people do. I wouldn’t have reached the heights I reached without it.”
