Oscar-De-La-HoyaBroadband OTT television service YipTV, which gives subscribers 19 live TV channels to watch free, today announced it has added former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya’s RingTV to its steadily growing channel lineup and that it will offer subscribers two exciting live-action fight cards this weekend via RingTV.

The RingTV shows both originated by De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions and “broadband- cast” by YipTV, feature promising young boxers who are expected to contend for championships in the future.

The live boxing cards include:
· Four four-round LA FIGHT CLUB bouts on Friday from the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, which begin at 8 p.m. EDT / 5 p.m. PDT.
· Six bouts on Saturday from StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., which begin at 5:30 p.m. EDT / 2:30 p.m. PDT.

De La Hoya, nicknamed “The Golden Boy,” compiled a stellar amateur boxing record of 234 wins and only six losses — including winning a gold medal in the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games — before battling to a remarkable 10 professional boxing world titles in six different weight classes. During his pro boxing career, De La Hoya defeated 17 world champions. Today he remains hugely popular with boxing fans after his retirement from the ring.

In 2002, De La Hoya became the first Hispanic to form a national boxing promotional company when he founded Golden Boy Promotions in Los Angeles; the company is now one of professional boxing’s most active and respected promoters.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to have Oscar De La Hoya’s RingTV join our YipTV channel lineup,” said CEO Michael Tribolet. “With the same class and winner-take-all determination he exhibited as a fighter, Oscar demonstrates a drive to succeed with all he does as a boxing promoter in his native Los Angeles – from nurturing young boxers to giving them opportunities via LA FIGHT CLUB to giving them exposure and promoting their careers through Ring Magazine and RingTV.”

“We want to give fans all over the country the opportunity to see the next great superstar from Golden Boy Promotions, and this partnership with YipTV will help realize that vision,” said Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. “We look forward to continuing to build boxing’s next great generation of fighters and showcasing them on YipTV.”

On Saturday, the StubHub Center bouts will feature a 10-round featherweight battle between Julian “El Camaron” Ramirez (14-0, 8 KOs) and Hugo Partida (20-5-2, 15 KOs); Nick Arce (4-0) vs. Juan Hernandez (3-0) in a super featherweight six-rounder; Mercito “ No Mercy” Gesta (28-1-2, 16 KOs) vs. Martin Honorio (32-9-1, 16 KOs) in a lightweight 10-rounder; super lightweights Marcelino “Nino” Lopez (31-1-1, 16 KOs) vs. David Rodela (17-11-4, 7 KOs) going eight rounds; light heavyweights D’mitrius Ballard (9-0, 7 KOs) vs. Eddie Hunter (10-13-2, 2 KOs) scheduled for eight rounds, and super featherweights Kevin “K -Smoove” Rivers Jr. (12-0, 9 KOs) vs. Alejandro Ochoa (6-10-2, 1 KO) in a six-rounder.
