After working his shift as a commentator for the Premier Boxing Champions Toe to Toe Tuesday card, acclaimed trained Robert Garcia discusses his split with Jesus Cuellar and also talks about Cuellar’s upcoming fight with Abner Mares.
“Look, I was surprised the way it happened. We finished our last fight against (Vic) Darchinyan together. Everything was good. We celebrated. I didn’t think anything was wrong,” Garcia said. “Then comes training camp for his next fight and I don’t hear from (Cuellar) or his manager. So honestly, if they have a reason, I still don’t know the reason why they chose not to train with me. I don’t have anything against them, so it cannot be personal either. Until now I have no idea what the reason was. So there’s nothing personal.”
