In boxing, you listen to your coach, to your heart and you listen to your gut. When one of the greatest fighters that has laced up the gloves offers you advice you should listen.

Roberto “Manos de Piedra” Duran who is considered by many to be the greatest Latino fighter of all time has offered his advice to Saul “Canelo” Alvarez based on his past experience and his observations. Duran told boxingscene.com, “If I was going up against a boxer like that I would bust him up. I would beat on him all over. The arms, the ribs,” said Duran.

“The first thing you have to do is forget about the head. The head is smaller than the body. You have to break a man down and in order to do so you are going to hit him in the kidneys and he will slow down and after about four rounds he will not be able to walk.”
With Mayweather’s defensive style , Duran’s advice makes perfect sense and even though Mayweather will be able to get his shots off while you attack the body, it can do damage.
