AndreWardFistAndre Ward threw up the dynasty sign via social media as he announced that he is the newest member of Roc Nation on his Instagram account.

“It’s official,” Ward said. (The next chapter of my career). Happy to be a part of the (Roc Nation Sports) family.”

Roc Nation’s first official card is today at The Theatre in Madison Square Garden headlined by it’s first signing Dusty Hernandez-Harrison. After multiple attempts at trying to sign boxers or stage fights with the likes of Peter Quillin, Guillermo Rigondeaux, Keith Thurman, and Deontay Wilder, Roc Nation merged with Gary Shaw Promotions. With that brought on the likes of Bryant Jennings, Thomas Dulorme, Darley Perez, Tureano Johnson, and Jose Pedraza among others.

Ward was in a very long legal battle with former promoter Goosen Tutor. But today, this is truly Roc Nation’s biggest signing to date.

“We have signed Andre Ward and it’s something we’re very excited about,” David Itskowitch, chief operating officer of Roc Nation Sports’ boxing division, told ESPN.com. “It’s just the beginning for us but it’s a game changer. He’s one of the best fighters in the world. Everything is coming together for us. On the same day we are having our first event, at Madison Square Garden, we are announcing our first really huge signing.”

With the signing of Ward, he brings on one of boxing’s best fighters who has been inactive since November of 2013 and rumor has it they may be back in talks with Guillermo Rigondeaux, who is also one of boxing’s best.
