Roman Gonzalez Drops 108 Pound Title In Hopes Of Conquering The 112 Pound Division Starting With Juan Carlos Reveco

It was recently announced at the 92nd annual WBA convention in Lima, Peru that Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez has decided to drop his 108 pound title along with a request. That request is to be the mandatory challenger for 112 pound WBA champion Juan Carlos Reveco of Argentina.

Gonzalez has been pursuing a bout with Reveco for some time (as well as the other champions at 112 pounds) but according to sources close to the Gonzalez camp, Reveco has shown little to no interest in taking on Gonzalez.

Gonzalez must first get past Oscar Blanquet of Mexico on November 10th should he be named the challenger to face Reveco.
