Scotty Olson In A Coma, After Suffering A Heart Attack

Former USBA, IBF and IBO flyweight champion Scotty “Bulldog” Olson is currently in a coma after suffering a heart attack on Sunday morning according to the Edmonton Journal  He is 46 years old.

Olsen fought in the 1988 Olympics and made it to the quarter-finals and then turned pro in 1990. During his professional career Olson compiled a record of 34-4-2 with 25 KO’s winning the USBA/IBF flyweight titles in 1992 and then winning the IBO title in 1994 and continued fighting until 2002.

Outside of his professional career, Olsen has been an asset to the city of Edmonton. Aside from being a family man Olson has mentored many youths and has been an inspiration.
