Errol SpenceErrol Spence Jr. absolutely destroyed Phil Lo Greco in the co-feature of Porter-Broner on PBC on NBC at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Greco was a last minute replacement for Roberto Garcia who missed weight for the 2nd time in 3 months.

The first round was a dominant one for Spence, although it was nearly as brutal. Spence was moving well, but he made it a point to be offensive. He picked his shots and made them count.

Spence really stepped it up in the 2nd round as he battered Greco to the body and head. These shots were brutal and sapped Greco’s energy with every landed blow. Even the shots that grazed Greco were hard to watch. Spence continued to press and left Greco wobbly towards the end of the round.

There was very little offense from Greco after the 1st round, but he was still coming forward even when he was being punished.

In the 3rd and final round, the southpaw Spence landed a right hook that sent his opponent to the canvas. It was clear that Greco was damaged goods and he wouldn’t last much longer. Spence continued the assault after Greco made it to his feet. He was wobbled badly twice more before referee Robert Byrd stepped in and saved Greco from further punishment.

Spence advances to 17-0 with 14 of those wins coming by stoppage. Hopefully, he steps up even further in his next outing.
