Vanes Martirosyan has been in search of a key fight since losing a split decision to Demitruis Andrade late last year. Martirosyan has called out several top 15 fighters in the junior middleweight division but no one has answered that call. Austin Trout on the other hand has stated that he would be more than willing to fight Martirosyan if someone put up the money for that fight and Martirosyan says he is willing to put the money up himself to secure the fight with Trout.
“What if I pay for it,” said Martirosysan. “If Austin beats me he gets both checks [and] if he loses he still gets his check.”
