Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. announced on Twitter this past Sunday that come Monday the 17th of June he will begin training with strength and conditioning coach Angel “Memo” Heredia in an effort to better himself for future bouts. Vazquez is one of the latest Puerto Rican fighters that have included a Mexican as an essential part of their team. Orlandito Del Valle is one of the most recent Puerto Ricans to do so when he included hall of fame trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristáin from Mexico.
For Heredia, his popularity keeps growing and the work he puts in with fighters shows. His work and triumph with Juan Manuel Marquez from the Manny Pacquiao fights has made him one of the most sought after strength and conditioning coaches around.
