I remember when I used to work out at a gym here in Edmonton I would hear about a Mexican fighter from Calgary that was really good and amazing to watch. I never knew the name of this fighter up until a few years later when I attended a pro-am card in Calgary. That fighter was Alex Torres Rynn.
Since that night, I have kept in contact with Rynn and have followed his career as a professional since day one. The kid to this day still has a tremendous amount of talent and while he has lost his last 3 fights it does not mean a thing in this age where everyone wants to be an undefeated fighter. He was brought in as an opponent, the B side for those 3 fights.
Rynn had planned a busy 2020 but Covid 19 came along and put an end to those plans. With the year being almost over and a move to Vancouver, Rynn has begun preparing for his in-ring return which is slated to take place in April of 2021 in Vancouver.
“Sadly it was the first year as a professional I was not active,” stated Rynn via Facebook. “I assure everyone it was not on my part. I was preparing at the begginning of the year in Mexico for a couple bouts and then Covid hit. That being said I have my first fight tentatively scheduled in 2021 and I’m just optimistic knowing I have a lot to offer the community and sport; inside and outside the ring.”
