Billy WrightLAS VEGAS (June 27, 2015) – Tonight in Bolivia, 50-year old WBC #17 heavyweight contender, “Bronco” Billy Wright (47-4, 38 KO’s), will defend his WBC Latino heavyweight title against Orlando Antonio Farias (26-14, 10 KO’s), who hails from San Miguel, Tucuman, Argentina.

The 12-round bout, which will be sanctioned by the WBC, will take place at the Asociación Beniana de Boxeo in Trinidad, Beni, Bolivia.

Riding an 18-fight winning streak, 10 of which have come by first-round knockout, Bronco Billy Wright has remained unbeaten since 1998. With 14 total knockouts during the streak, Bronco Billy looks to extend on his remarkable journey.

“At 50-years old I’m still going strong,” said Bronco Billy Wright. “The WBC has promised me a higher ranking if I can continue to win fights. I’m trying to get a fight with someone in the top 10, but I have to take care of business against Farias first. I’ll be looking to get the KO early as I always do in my fights, but if I have to go the full twelve rounds, I’m prepared to do so.”

The fact that Bronco Billy Wright is still boxing at age 50 is an incredible achievement in itself. Add in there that he’s highly ranked in the WBC with a record that is comparable to any current champion today.

“I don’t see any other 50-year-old heavyweights out there making noise, knocking out men with winning records,” Bronco Billy continued. “All I want is an opportunity to fight for the world title. I’ll fight any highly ranked fighter out there. I believe there isn’t anyone in the heavyweight division that can handle my power.”
