“King” Carlos Molina has had a checkered boxing career. The highlight of his career was winning a world title at junior middleweight but boxing fans will always remember him as a bad-luck fighter. He would fight tooth and nail and appear to clearly be the winner of a fight but judges did not see it that way on multiple occasions. Once he was able to win a title, one expected bigger and better things for the fighter from Michoacan. Things did not work out that way as Molina had legal issues and he was unable to defend and eventually got stripped of his title. Aside from that, Molina had to return to Mexico.

Since returning home, Molina has kept busy training and fighting. He lost his return fight to Cornelius Bundrage but then he went on to win six straight before dropping three in a row.

Despite the losses, Molina stays determined to improve himself and fight on to try and get himself back into a title hunt. Fighting is not his only focus now as he has started his own boxing promotion called King Carlos Promotions which is set to have its first show on September 14th in Patzcuaro, Michoacan in which he will headline. The card will also feature Carson Jones.

“This is the first show presented by King Carlos Promotions,” stated Molina via Facebook. “I am very proud to debut my new company in my hometown, the heart of Mexico, Patzcuaro Michoacan. I hope to make boxing and Patzcuaro proud by giving them an incredible show and boxing experience.”
