Today Daniel Ponce De Leon will look to erase his knockout loss to Juan Manuel Lopez from his mind and the minds of others. A great amount of time has passed since the two first met and while JuanMa has declined and Ponce De Leon has remained a force to be reckoned with an added defense he feels that it will still be a tough fight.

“This Saturday I have a tough fight,” said Ponce De Leon. ” One of the most important  fights in my career at this moment. I prepared hard and I am ready. I feel good at 130 pounds. I don’t have to work as hard to lose weight and I feel comfortable. I have fought a few fights at this weight and I feel good.”

The fight is taking place in JuanMa’s native Puerto Rico which means fans will be cheering for the formal world champion but that won’t affect Ponce De Leon because  they won’t be able to help their fighter once he steps in the ring.

“I know the Puerto Rican people will be cheering their fighter but some people have come to see me and I will have supporters on my side . I am only thinking about the fight because in the ring it is only going to be me and him and no one can help him.”
