Kell Brook has recently announced via twitter, that he’s already begun training lightly in the gym. He has been adamant in making his return in March against Juan Manuel Marquez. In an interview done by Fighthype.com, Eddie Hearn the promoter of Kell Brook stated, “Marquez is a fight for March, I’ll be happy to make.”
It is uncertain if Marquez will accept an offer from Brook’s camp given the fact he’s been contemplating retirement, or a possible farewell fight in Mexico. The future hall of fame fighter can retire today without any regrets given the fact he’s accomplished so many great things in his illustrious career. Only time will tell if 2015 presents another chapter to Marquez’s career.
If Marquez does in fact decide to continue his career, Hearn seems to be very adamant of matching him up against Kell Brook in England. Hearn told Fighthype.com, “He [Marquez] wants to fight in Mexico, but we can pay him a lot of money to come here [in England] for that fight.”
Hearn did not specify how much money he intends to offer Marquez, but seems prepared to jump on the opportunity if given the chance.
