Bad blood in boxing and other combat sports is usually temporary.  At times, it can be a lifetime issue but usually like a majority of schoolyard fights when everything is said and done that’s exactly what it is, done. You may even become best/close friends after.

There was plenty of bad blood leading up to the fight between Canelo and Billy Joe Saunders with most of it coming (pretty much all of it) coming from team Saunders. Everyone can talk outside the ring but, in the end, there are only two men that will trade blows (unless shit pops off).

Canelo and Saunders did their thing, Saunders suffered a gruesome injury and the fight got stopped. The better man won and there was no controversy and each went their own way.

Canelo’s trainer Eddy Reynoso sent well wishes to Saunders via social media recently on his health and his career to show there is no bad blood and at the end of the day, this is what they do and who they are.

“On behalf of the entire team that make up the Canelo team, we wish you a speedy recovery and that you continue on in your wonderful champion career!”
