HBO Sports lights up Memorial Day weekend with an action-packed day-night doubleheader of world-class prizefighting when WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING: JEAN PASCAL VS. LUCIAN BUTE AND CARL FROCH VS.            Other HBO playdates: May 26 (8:30 a.m.) and 27 (11:00 p.m.)
           HBO2 playdates: May 26 (4:30 p.m.) and 28 (11:00 p.m.)
First, super middleweight titleholders Carl Froch (30-2, 22 KOs) of Nottingham, England and Mikkel Kessler (46-2, 35 KOs) of Copenhagen, Denmark renew their heated rivalry in a 12-round match on Froch’s home turf. Their first fight, in April 2010, was a slugfest that ended with a Kessler triumph. This rematch also has a prime-time replay at 10:00 p.m. (ET/ PT).
Following the replay of Froch vs. Kessler II, Montreal hosts the biggest fight in Canadian history when the country’s top rivals, Jean Pascal and Lucian Bute, meet. Pascal (27-2-1, 16 KOs) has never backed down from a challenge, confronting American stars Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson. Now he meets fellow Montrealer Lucian Bute (31-1-0, 24 KOs) in a 12-round showdown. Bute, who has fought splendidly at super middleweight, apart from a loss to Carl Froch last year, moves up to light heavyweight for the battle.
