downloadThree undefeated Mexican warriors are headed to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California on the Thursday, November 13 edition of Golden Boy Live! when Joseph Diaz Jr., Julian Ramirez and Diego De La Hoya square off against Roberto Castaneda,Pedro Melo and Ali Gonzalez, respectively who are looking to add losses to the records of the undefeated trio of boxing’s most promising rising stars. While seven-foot Chinese sensation Taishan will open up the televised portion of the card against Michael Lane on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes.

Plus, there’s more in store for fans in attendance on November 13, as newly crowned IBF Bantamweight World Champion Randy “El Matador” Caballero will be in attendance to celebrate his unanimous decision victory over Stuart Hall on October 25.  Fantasy Springs, Caballero’s home away from home, is the only place to be on November 13 for a night full of boxing action and celebration of a local hero.

In the main event on the 13th, unbeaten former U.S. Olympian Joseph “Jo Jo” Diaz Jr. (12-0, 8 KOs) will square off with Mexicali veteran Roberto Castaneda (21-7-1, 15 KOs) who will look to test the resolve and experience of Diaz Jr. in their 10-round featherweight bout. One of the most experienced 23-year-olds in the sport,Castaneda has been keeping busy in the ring since his professional debut in 2009 and while he has had his ups and downs over the last year, a win over Diaz Jr. will get him back on track as 2014 comes to a close.

Facing East Los Angeles’ Julian “El Camaron” Ramirez (12-0, 7 KOs) in the eight-round featherweight co-feature event, Tijuana’s Pedro Melo (11-5-2, 2 KOs) is a 26-year-old brawler who is looking to get back to the same form that resulted in a 2012 knockout over respected prospect Juan Jimenez. On November 13, Melo hopes to walk away with a similar win over Ramirez.

Scheduled for six rounds in the featherweight division, Diego “The Golden Kid” De La Hoya (7-0, 5 KOs) will take on Tijuana’s Ali Gonzalez (6-3, 1 KO) who looks to spoil De La Hoya’s perfect record.   After winning three of his last four bouts, the 27-year-old southpaw, Gonzalez, is more confident than ever that he has what it takes to pull off the upset at Fantasy Springs next month.

In the televised opener, the seven-foot heavyweight power-puncher Taishan (1-0, 1 KO) will enter the ring for his highly anticipated second professional fight. Taishan will be taking on Michael Lane (0-3) in a four-round bout. Widely considered one of the most interesting fighters in the sweet science today, fight fans are in for a rare glimpse Taishan in action when he laces up the gloves on November 13 to face the hard luck Lane. The rugged Lane has seen each of his three losses go to the judges’ scorecards, proving he can exchange blows and go the distance. However, Taishan hopes to take this one out of the judges’ hands by walking away with his second professional knockout.
