In this Boxing Voice exclusive interview with Zab Judah, the Champ is honest and forthcoming as usual.  He speaks about why he signed with Golden Boy, after what went down in Brooklyn, between him and Oscar De La Hoya, during the final press conference for the Danny Garcia fight.  Zab sounds mature and intelligent, saying that he is simply trying to take advantage and learn from this association.  He has no hard feelings toward Oscar or Golden Boy Promotions.

What can I say about Zab Judah?  He looked good and his stock went up in his last performance against Danny Garcia, earlier this year.  Especially now that Danny went on to dismantle “The Machine” in a masterful performance, just a few days back.  He spoke about how he has been the recipient of much praise and respect, kind complimentary words, coming not only from his former opponents, but peers, media and fans alike.

The last thing he touched on was something that got me excited, as a NYC based boxing fan and writer.

He was asked about that much talked about fight, a Brooklyn showdown versus Paulie Malignaggi.   Well he said that they trying to get it made and he needs you the fans to ask for it, in order to make it happen.  I am totally locked in for two mid range prized tickets myself.  I will go see it at the Barclay’s center or hell, the big stage at MSG. Come on people pay Paulie and Judah what they deserve as proven stars, champs and veterans of the game, get this made!
