Julian “J-Rock” Williams @JRockBoxing (12-0-1 7 KO’s) is a Philadelphia junior middleweight fighter who had less than 100 amateur fights and used his talents to push himself into a budding prospect in the pro ranks. This boxer-puncher first turned pro in 2010 fighting four times that year and then fought five more times in 2011. He stayed busy but most importantly stayed winning. He is his own critic as well. “I don’t know what the best one is (in regards to his performances), I have had decent performances and I wouldn’t say none of them were great. I have a lot more to prove. A lot more to do,” said Williams in a phone interview.

Williams is undefeated with only one draw against Francisco Santana. Fighters love to avenge a loss but Williams would love to avenge the only “blemish” on his record. “Definitely, if I can get it you know.”

Williams’ last fight took place on April 20th on the undercard of the mega fight between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Austin “No Doubt” Trout when he defeated Dashon Johnson via 3rd round TKO.

His next fight will take place on June 22nd in New York with an opponent yet to be determined.

What does the future have in store for Williams? He plans on fighting as many times as possible before the year ends. “I just want to stay busy, stay in the ring and get better. I am ready to get to the next level.”  As every fighter he has a goal for the end of the year. “Just keep winning. As long as I keep winning I should be good.”

Will big things come to him? All signs point to yes. Williams trains in the gym with former world champions and championship contenders that can help mold and educate him on his craft and the tools of the trade. To top that all off, he is signed with Al Haymon who has a tremendous pool of talent.

The future is bright and the lights in the arena are brighter. As for Julian Williams, consistency is the key to a brighter future and if he continues on the currently planned path then he could see himself in line for a world title within the next year or year and a half.
