Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam and Billy Joe Saunders have been ordered to compete for the vacant IBF middleweight title, the same title that was stripped from Jermain Taylor a week ago following a series of personal/legal issues.
Jake Donovan of Boxingscene.com reports that Saunders will have until the close of business on February 12th to accept the bout, N’Dam has already agreed to the fight. If N’Dam, the IBF ranked #1 middleweight, and Saunders, IBF’s #4 agree to the bout then they will have 30 days to make the fight before being subjected to a purse bid.
Felix Sturm passed on the fight which put Saunders in position to receive a vacant title shot.
