New Jersey Standout Amateur Shakur Jackson Makes Pro Debut Tonight

TONIGHT at the Beautiful Hilton Garden Inn, Prized amateur standout Shakor Jackson will make his professional debut when he takes on Cornelius Whitlock (0-0-1) of Hanover, Maryland in a bout scheduled for four rounds.

In the main event promoted by Greg Cohen Promotions, local favorite Nicky DeMarco takes on Travis Thompson in a six round Lightweight bout

Jackson, of Newark, New Jersey is part of the Elite Heat Boxing Team based out of Newark, has one of the most decorated resumes as he enters to the pro ranks.

Robert Griffin is his manager and he is co-promoted by Greg Cohen Promotions and GH3 Promotions

The New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame inductee has won the Diamond Gloves in 2009 and 2010; 2010 & 2011 New Jersey State Champion; 5 time Silver Gloves champion; National Runner Up; 4 Time Regional Champion.  He finished his amateur record was 70-17 and was ranked fourth in the United States
