Boxing Twitter = debates and opinions.

The thing that’s nice about social media is that everyone can say their piece. The bad thing about it is everyone can say their piece. Anything that gets brought up opens the world for debate and many will voice their opinions without knowledge while others lose their shit over what they are seeing. Either way, you look at it you may learn a thing or two.

Asking questions is a key element to learning. Asking questions about potential matchups opens Boxing Twitter up to debates, popularity contests and can actually lead up to an actual fight (though mostly it’s just Twitter fingers).

The question of a potential fight between Regis Prograis and Gervonta Davis has opened up on Twitter and the fighters have chimed in themselves which may open the door for a potential clash in the near future.

“I will beat the shit out this bum ass ni**a,” Tweeted Davis in response to the fantasy matchup which grabbed Prograis’ attention.

“LIL BOY DONT MENTION MY F**KIN NAME IF U DONT WANT NO SMOKE,” responded Prograis. “I AINT FOR THIS BACK AND FORTH SHIT IM READY TO WRECK SOMETHIN. LETS GET IT POPPIN. YO BIG SISTER DUCKIN ME SO I GUESS HE SENT YO FLOCK ASS SO IMMA FUCK U UP AND HE AINT GON HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO COME SEE ME!”

The fans have mixed opinions on the potential fight but according to polls, many feel Davis would win if the two were to fight. That’s something that didn’t sit well with Prograis.

“Y’all really think Tank could fuck with me??? I mean I know he’s popular and he’s a pretty good fighter but I would hurt that lil boy. Floyd would never let him close to me. They’ll need a restraining order after fucking with me.”

Davis’s next fight is rumored to be against Mario Barrios at 140 lbs. Should the fight not happen, or if he wins that fight, a showdown with Prograis would be a good sell, especially with the top guys at 135 lbs unwilling to fight each other.  For Prograis this would be a big-name fight to set him on the right path to bigger and better fights especially if Davis proves to be a force at the higher weight.
