Last night after the May Day pay per view Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer spoke about a September ring return for former welterweight champion “Vicious” Victor Ortiz. Of the possibilities for Ortiz, Schaefer mentioned that a fight with recently beaten Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero would be a fight. Both are southpaws who are action fighters who have beaten Andre Berto in amazing fights and have lost to Floyd Mayweather.
While both men have already lost to Mayweather and have called for rematches with Floyd Mayweather, a fight between the two would show where Ortiz is since his broken jaw injury and loss to Josesito Lopez, and would also be put Guerrero in against another top ranked welterweight.
