downloadFor years we have heard talk coming from just about everyone who watches boxing about a fight happening between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Negotiations have taken place several times for a proposed bout but little things here and there on both sides have always seemed to get in their way.
One of the most recent rumors to come out involves Mayweather demanding 2/3 the revenue should the fight take place due to rumored low pay per view sales for Pacquiao’s last fight.
Does it seem right that Mayweather would demand that much money or is it just a diversion to avoid the fight?
If you know anything about Mayweather you know there are two things he seems to love most in life: money and his legacy.
On the other hand there is Pacquiao. Pacquiao has always said that he fights for the people and while money is an issue and no one wants to get paid peanuts for that magnitude of a fight Pacquiao should give into whatever demand Mayweather has this way the people get what they want and there can be no excuses on Mayweather’s end.
Is it fair? Of course not but if things go in Pacquiao’s favor then he would have the leverage and he gets a bigger and better reward the next time around if Mayweather takes the rematch.
