Covid 19 has dealt a devastating blow to Canadian boxing. A majority of the country is closed down and fighters are unable to train let alone fight.

Stuart McLellan is a former Canadian Junior Middleweight Champion with a record of 24-4-3, 11 KO’s. He last fought in 2019 against rising Kazakh prospect Zhanibek Alimkhanuly and lost via KO. Since then there have been few opportunities available so what’s there for McLellan to do?

There are options out there for those in combat sports such as MMA but McLellan has decided to go the pro wrestling route under the name Stu Krool. McLellan is fully dedicated to honing his craft and going as far as he can in the wrestling game but a return to boxing is not out of the question either.

“It is my goal to become a solid pro wrestler and push the limits of what I can accomplish in the sport,” stated McLellan. “I will most likely continue to box occasionally if the money and fight is good I will campaign at a much higher weight than previously. At the moment I’m weighing 190 lbs. Thank you to my fans for the love & support.”
