When the news broke that the IBF had stripped Jermain Taylor of his IBF Middleweight Title last week, shuffling had to be done for those in line to fight for the title. At the head of the pack was Hassan N’Dam, who had beaten Curtis Stevens to earn the number 1 spot for the belt. Then the IBF ruled that next in line after him was Felix Sturm.
However, according to his manager Roland Bebak, Felix Sturm will pass on a fight against Hassan N’Dam. Sturm is looking for bigger fish to fry both in weight and financial.
Sturm took to Twitter and tweeted, “@SturmBoxing: I will not fight at middleweight !!! That time is over….#168.”
According to most insiders Sturm has a keen eye on the winner of the Arthur Abraham –Stephen Smith fight that will be taken place in two weeks in Germany, especially if Sturm is victorious. A fight between Felix Sturm and Arthur Abraham is probably the biggest fight to make in Germany at the moment.
