Victor Ortiz Wants Floyd Mayweather Rematch, Believes Khan Does Not Belong In The Ring With Floyd

1297_thumbzoomVictor Ortiz is a fighter that has been counted out several times since his loss to Marcos Maidana but time and time again he has proven his critics wrong (and at times right). He will once again get that chance in January when he faces off against Luis Collazo.

Should Ortiz be victorious over Collazo then a matchup with Danny Garcia is more than likely to take place. Should the fight with Garcia happen and Ortiz be triumphant then a rematch with Mayweather could take place next September which is something that Ortiz has wanted since they first squared off. Ortiz feels that should he face Mayweather again, he would be an even more dangerous opponent to Floyd this time around since Ortiz has nothing to lose.

Someone’s career is in trouble and it a’int mine,” said Ortiz. “I’ve got no zero’s meaning I’ve got draws, I’ve got loses, I a’int got nothing to lose.”

Ortiz’ promotional stable mate Amir “King” Khan has been rumored to be Mayweather’s next opponent in May and when Ortiz was asked what he thought about the possible fight he couldn’t keep a straight face and feels that Khan does not belong in the ring with Mayweather.

“Oh man. Is that really a question? Amir is cool but he doesn’t belong there.”
