Nicaraguan 140 pound prospect Walter Castillo (21-2, 14KO’s) will face off against his archrival Rosember Gomez (16-3-1, 12KO’s) on June 29th in a 10 round bout at a 141 pound weight limit in Managua. It’s an action packed event put on by Prodesa in a fight that has the characteristics of being a war.
“I am strong and ready to beat Rosemberg,” said Castillo. “I feel confident in the work done during these last weeks in the gym with my trainer Luis Mena. Fights are won because of good, proper training.”
Castillo has had his share of wars in the gym as well with several sparring partners. “There have been a lot of rounds of sparring with Jose Alfaro, Sanos Benavides, Michael Mora and the significant presence of Oliver Flores, who is demanding and has a good punch,” said Castillo.
Castillo is sure of victory but he is not sure how he will win. “I do not know how I will get the win but if the fight goes the distance Gomez will be very hurt. He will have his best chances at the start of the fight, then your luck will be on my fists and believe me I will make you respect me the hard way.”
The fights on June 29th will be broadcast via the Prodesa web site: www.prodesa.com.ni.
