nicholas-walters_1409205583Nicholas Walters (24-0 20 KO’s) this Saturday night at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California will be in the biggest fight of his career thus far against Nonito Donaire (33-2, KO’s 21).

Walters told the Orange County Register, “He’s going to have his crowd, but at the end of the day, there will only be Donaire, myself and the ref in the ring. Once we step into the squared circle he can’t run to his coach or his fans. And at the end of the bout his fans will be my fans.”

“I’m planning on taking the title back home with me. I’m going to be smart. I know Donaire is a smart fighter; He was fighter of the year on one occasion in 2012. He’s been in the business a long time, but I’m going to do what the Axe Man does best and that’s knock people out.”

Walters has been anxious into stepping into boxing’s limelight since he started boxing at the age of four. According to the Jamaica-Gleaner.com, “His father Jacob Walters has been his biggest supporter throughout his boxing career.”

He stated, “Everybody needs a purpose in life and I am happy that Nicholas has found his. Win, lose, or draw, he’s making the world a better place through his boxing. He’s bringing entertainment and joy. He’s also bringing honor and pride to the Jamaican people.”
