David Price (18-2, 15 KOs) will face Irineu Beato Costa Junior (16-2, 14 KOs) on February 21 at the O2 World in Berlin, Germany. The heavyweights go toe-to-toe on the undercard of the WBO World Super Middleweight rematch between Arthur Abraham (41-4, 28 KOs) and Paul Smith (35-4, 20 KOs), live on Sky Sports.

Price returns, following a six-month injury lay-off, ready to kick-start his 2015 with a ten-round contest against the 34 year-old Brazilian, Costa Junior. ‘’I can’t wait to get back in the ring and remind everybody what I’m all about,’’ said the former British and Commonwealth Champion.

‘’Costa Junior is exactly the type of opponent I wanted. He’s got a decent record, similar to my own, with sixteen wins and only two defeats. Last year, he went twelve rounds with Christian Hammer, so we know he’s no mug. It will be another step up, but I think he will bring out the best in me. I’m confident I will get the win.’’

The O2 World could prove to be a home away from home for the 6ft 8’’ heavyweight, with thousands of British fans expected to make the trip over to Berlin. ‘’The support from Liverpool will be fantastic,’’ said Price. ‘’There will be loads of fans coming over to get behind Paul and myself. I’m looking forward to being a part of such a big card. It will set up me up nicely for a ‘homecoming’ fight later this year.’’

‘’2015 is going to be a huge year for Pricey,’’ said promoter Kalle Sauerland. ‘’That starts in Berlin on February 21. Costa Junior is a serious opponent. With a convincing victory, we can send a message to all the heavyweights around the world – the big man is back and he means business!’’
