The last time Ebanie Bridges stepped into the boxing ring she won big! No, she did not win the fight but she won over fight fans with her fighting style, guts and ability to bite down and fight on when the going got tough.

Bridges suffered a horrific eye injury in her bout against Shannon Courtenay in their WBA World Bantamweight Title fight just two months ago. In all honestly it looked like she was dragged into an alley, mugged and beaten with the intention to permanently disfigure the Australian fighter. While Courtenay was the victor all people could talk about was Bridges and rightfully so.

After the fight Bridges literally went around the world on what seemed like a publicity tour. Her fanbase grew and her wounds healed. She kept busy and pushed for another fight as soon as possible especially while boxing fans still have her last fight fresh in their minds. That being said Bridges will indeed return to the ring before summer has come to a close.

“I’m back,” exclaimed Bridges. “So pumped to be back in action on August 7th on Week 2 of Matchroom Boxing Fight Camp. This is a real fight for the fans. Bec always brings the heat and so do I so week 2 is LIT!”

Bridges will go up against Bec Connolly who has a less than spectacular record but its a great fight to see how her injury will hold up in a fight and a bigger and better fight should come in the near future once this fight has come and gone.
