InterBox and GYM sign Bogdan Dinu

Boucherville – Tuesday, May 27th, 2014 – InterBox and GYM are proud to announce the signing of Romanian undefeated Heavyweight boxer Bogdan Dinu (9-0, 6K.-O.) to an exclusive promotion agreement for the next two years. Dinu has been training in Montreal over the last few weeks with Stephan Larouche. Dinu, who turned professional in April 2008, is scheduled to fight this Saturday, May 31st at the Vaudreuil Arena against American Avery Gibson (3-3, 1K.-O.).

One of the most important objectives for InterBox and for GYM is to work together on signing and developing talented boxers that we believe can become future stars in Quebec, and throughout the World. For us, Dinu certainly fits these parameters » states InterBox President Mr. Jean Bedard. « To prove his seriousness, Bogdan confirmed to us that he is in the process of moving his Family here to Montreal »

I dreamed for a long time to sign a contract with an important organization, and now I have the support of two… InterBox and GYM ! » states the 27 year old from Buzau, Romania. « My good friend Lucian Bute  invited me here. Boxing is very big here and I want to stay here and inspire myself from Lucian’s accomplishments. I will move here with my Family and learn French to be closer to my fans. The experiences and advice from Lucian is very precious for me » declares Bogdan.

The signing of Dinu to a contract is another step in the evolution of of the partnership between InterBox and GYM. We will continue to work together to offer our boxers numerous occasions to perform, as well as offering our public excellent boxing galas » states GYM President Mr. Yvon Michel. Bogdan already familiar with Quebec Bogdan’s first professional fight was a unanimous points decision over 4 rounds against Stéphane Tessier.

Dinu also boxed at the Bell Centre in November 2012 on the Bute vs. Grachev undercard, scoring a TKO  win in 4 rounds against Quebecker Eric Martel Bahoeli.
