Lucas Matthysse vs John MolinaLucas Matthysse (35-3,33 KOs) took on Roberto Ortiz (31-0-1, 24KOs) for the WBC Super Lightweight Silver Championship tonight in a fight with a bizarre ending.

The opening round was uneventful with both contenders displaying their defensive skills, neither were able to land any clean shots on the other.

In Round 2 Lucas hits Roberto with a vicious left hook to the body that sends him to the canvas. After starting the count referee Benjy Esteves waves the fight off with Ortiz seemingly beating the count after getting up at nine.

Lucas Matthysse wins by 2nd round knockout. Let’s see if Danny Garcia will give him a rematch now.
