Mark Thompson is the 13-8 favourite with Betfair for tomorrow night’s sold-out Betfair Prizefighter Welterweights III at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton live on Sky Sports.

At 31, his age might make him the exception in an incredibly youthful field, but Betfair punters are backing Thompson all the way to victory at tomorrow’s Betfair Prizefighter. Thompson leads the betting as a new group of eight welterweights lock horns at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall.  Calum Cooper, Rob Hunt, Steven Pearce and Mark Thompson join Chad Gaynor, Dale Evans, Sam Eggington and Glenn Foot in the quest to win all three of their fights tomorrow night on the way to claiming the tournament crown.

According to the betting, Thompson’s nearest rival for the Betfair Prizefighter trophy is 25-year-old Glenn Foot. The undefeated star from Sunderland is a 12-5 chance for victory in the Midlands this weekend. This event also provides a chance for hungry, young rookies to make a name for themselves in the sport. And, the one to watch is 19-year-old Eggington, the youngest ever Betfair Prizefighter entrant and a 25-1 outsider to triumph on the night.

With the Betfair Prizefighter format always likely to throw up a thrilling shock or two, make sure to stay up to date with the latest odds on Betfair.com. Take advantage of the in-play options on offer throughout the tournament to place your bet on whoever you think is adjusting best to the set-up on the night.

Kal Yafai tops the bill in his first fight of 2013, with the hotly tipped Brit tackling Mexican Gonzalo Garcia in between the semi-finals and final of Prizefighter. Both men weighed in after the eight contenders for the £32,000 winner’s cheque in Prizefighter, with Yafai scaling one ounce heaving than Garcia at 8st 6lb 5oz.

Betfair Prizefighter Welterweights III outright odds: Mark Thompson 13-8, Glenn Foot 5-2, Chad Gaynor 5-1, Dale Evans 6-1, Calum Cooper 16-1, Rob Hunt 22-1, Steven Pearce 14-1 and Sam Eggington 25-1 – to bet click here: http://www.betfair.com/exchange/boxing/market?id=924.1688008&exp=s
