London (29 July) After all the media attention of the past few weeks, trainer and uncle Peter Fury insists they are now “strictly business” as Tyson Fury’s eight week training camp begins.

The 24-year-old undefeated heavyweight sensation, Fury, is in Belgium to prepare for the biggest test of his career when he meets the former two-weight world champion David Haye at Manchester Arena on September 28th, live on Sky Sports HD Box Office.

“I’m very pleased to get the camp started as you can’t really train across in England with all the media attention,” Peter said.

“Over here there are no distractions, only training – no wives or kids, we are strictly business and on September 28th you can expect to see the best Tyson Fury to date.”

In Haye, 32, he meets the former WBA world heavyweight champion and former undisputed world cruiserweight champion, who boasts 24 knockouts from 26 wins.

But unlike Fury, Haye has twice tasted defeat in his career, retiring against Carl Thompson in 2004 and losing on points to Wladimir Klitschko in 2011, losing his WBA heavyweight crown in the process.

While Manchester’s Tyson boasts a perfect professional record, impressively winning all 21 of his bouts to date, with 15 of them ending inside the scheduled distance.

He is the former British, Commonwealth and Irish heavyweight champion and his trainer is pleased with his focus and conditioning ahead of this blockbuster fight.

“It would be a mistake for Haye to overlook this fight – Tyson is a consummate professional and already in really good shape,” Peter said.

“He has been switched on and focussed for other fights, but for this one he is very motivated.

“He already trains all the time and he’s in very good condition, so it’s just a case of honing him – he’s already very strong, so come fight time he’ll be peaking after a good eight week camp.”
