Golden Boy promotions had a busy day yesterday announcing a big card coming to Atlantic City, NJ at boardwalk hall. American heavyweight prospect Seth Mitchell will be returning to action after suffering a hand injury canceling his fight July 7 on the Khan-Garcia undercard in Las Vegas.  It was rumored that he would be back on September 15 on the Canelo Alvarez-Josesito Lopez card. His opponent has been confirmed as Jonathan Bank by K2 promotion CEO Tom Loeffler yesterday, the same fighter who he was originally set to duel with.

Former 130 lb WBO champion Adrien Broner will also be on the card making his debut in the lightweight division. Fresh off his one sided thrashing of title contender Vicente Escobedo, a week ago in his hometown of Cincinnati.  It was a fight in which Broner lost his title on the scale failing to make weight twice prompting the move up to 135. No opponents have been named as of yet but most fans have been craving for a showdown with Philadelphia super lightweight contender ‘Hammerin’ Hank Lundy providing he wins Friday night.

Blue chip prospect Keith ‘One Time” Thurman will see action that night. Coming of his first fight on HBO, He looked impressive in his knockout of Mexican tough guy, Omar Lora. It was a fight that was all-action fight that ended with a left hook from the Clearwater Florida native. It should be a great night of boxing at the fame Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall.
